Double Travel Strollers for Every Budget

In case you haven’t heard, we’re adding to our little crew in January ’23! I’ve spent quite a bit of time thinking about the logistics of how I will travel solo with a four year old and a newborn, which sent me down a rabbit hole of double strollers that are travel-friendly. Here’s a handful of my favorite finds through my own internet research and from my Instagram community’s input.

I’ve included all relevant specs (and then some) to help guide you in your travel-stroller-decision-making process. Also included is a link to the manufacturer’s website and Amazon, as the reviews from the manufacturer tend to be more honest and transparent.

Double strollers that exceeded 25 pounds were not included on this list, as some airlines have weight restrictions for gate-checked strollers exceeding that weight limit. Always double check your preferred airline’s website for stroller specifications prior to booking.

Baby Trend Sit N Stand Ultra Tandem Stroller, $180+

This one came recommended from my Instagram community for its price point and carseat-friendliness, but everyone who recommended it said it can feel a little “clunky” compared to other travel strollers and a bit difficult to push, depending on the age of your children. You can read more about this stroller and check out extra color options on the Baby Trend website.

Kolcraft Cloud Plus Lightweight Double Stroller, $210+

This stroller packs a big punch for the price point with a large canopy, children’s trays with cupholders, and generous storage basket underneath. Many online reviews also speak to ease in folding/expanding the stroller, which is a huge selling point for others parents out there who travel solo with their children. Century Stroll On Duo Lightweight Double Stroller, $250+

I personally prefer the “inline” style for travel strollers, because airports are busy places with lots of people who aren’t paying attention. Navigating through the crowds of people clamoring at the gate for boarding and spreading themselves all the way across the walkway is my biggest pet peeve and I’d rather have a slimmer stroller to fit through more easily. What I also really like about this stroller is it can be used with the compatible Century Lightweight Carseat (which costs about $110 and only weighs only 7 pounds), or you can recline the back seat into a baby lounger. You can take a look at more specs, and additional travel-friendly baby products, on the Century website.

Summer 3Dpac CS+ Double Stroller, $270+

This stroller is sleek as heck and is one of the few side-by-side double strollers that will fit one carseat plus one toddler seat. And you already know I love Summer Infant brand when it comes to travel strollers. Even though this stroller is too large to put in the overhead bin of the airplane, the folded dimensions are still impressive.

This double stroller was no longer available on the Summer Infant website.

Joovy Caboose Too Ultralight Sit and Stand Tandem Double Stroller, $320+

Brand new, this one is too expensive for me personally. But I’ve seen lots of these on resale websites and Facebook marketplace, so if you like what you see but don’t want to pay full price, definitely check out used! Joovy has four variations of this double stroller, each offering subtle differences based on your family’s needs. I selected this option in particular because it had the full seat in the back row and is one of their ultralight models. Check out the full line up on their website.
